Tika and her family love living at Pickwell, a Victorian Estate of 100+ acres in the heart of Sussex. They enjoy spending time with family and friends in the gardens, whilst taking in the wonderful nature that surrounds them.

The enormous gardens allow you to take in the views of the palm trees, rockeries, parkland, woods, lakes, paddocks and stables with flying displays by House Martins, Swallows, Wagtails, Woodpeckers, Pheasants, Geese, Kestrels and Buzzards.

The summer months allow everyone to gather by the heated pool, having BBQ's and viewing the stars & planets at night. You can even take deck chairs and cool boxes and enjoy a bite to eat by the lake.

In the autumn and winter, you can walk around the estate, watching the seasons change and taking in the beautiful nature of woodlands and lakes that surround you.

Spring brings nature into another circle of re-birth around the estate and this year's Spring 2021, brings a new beginning for the family and their home as they are opening YogaByNature. This venue has been created for yoga lovers, to bring their practice out of the cities and into the calm and tranquillity offered by the stunning nature that surrounds Pickwell.

Although rural, Pickwell is ideally located. Only 5 minutes from the A23, 10 minutes from Cuckfield or Burgess Hill, 15 minutes from Haywards Heath (with its 45 minute train journey to London Bridge or Victoria) and 20 minutes from Brighton & Hove.

At YogaByNature you can be assured of a warm welcome, whether you are here for a 60 minute class or an all day retreat.

The yoga studio overlooks the beautiful and unspoilt parkland of Pickwell.

The studio is filled with natural light and has large white window shutters all around. The studio is fully equipped with yoga chairs, mats, belts, blocks, bolsters and blankets.

BYO Policy: Under current Covid-19 recommendations, please bring your own mat and if possible avoid use of props.

We do provide cleaning products to wipe and disinfect all props after use.

The treatment room is a large space, bright and calm with views into the gardens. The room can accommodate a portable treatment table with plenty of room for practitioners and clients to have treatment sessions in areas such as: acupuncture, osteopathy, reflexology, deep body massage, energy medicine and many more.

Alternatively, the treatment room can accommodate teachers and students in any wellbeing & healing training or workshop sessions

If you are attending a weekend retreat, you will get to enjoy this beautiful house.

The house sleeps up to 20 people.

If weather allows, oustide camping could be a potential. See all details for Weekend Retreats under this section on the Discovery tab.

On bright, sunny days the teacher and students might like to hold the class outside and you are spoiled for choice, with lawns, parkland and woodland clearings to make your practice at YogaByNature truly memorable.

You can also do walking meditations through the woods & lakes or simply allow yourselves to walk and immerse into nature throughout the paths and forest.

If you are attending an all-day retreat or workshop, there is a selection of teas, served in the kitchen throughout the day. For lunch, we will typically offer seasonal home-cooked soups and salads with Artisan breads followed by dessert. You can eat in the Dining Room, outside on the patio or maybe take your tea and cake and sit on one of the lawns in the sunshine.

(Only Vegetarian and Vegan food options - dietary needs can be arranged if requested before the event)
